Beach. Everyone has been working so hard lately so why not take a break and enjoy the beach? You can make sand castles, play in the water, and there are even umbrellas for those who'd rather just relax in the shade. There's a nice row of water melons ready to be smashed later in the day and when the sun goes down, that's when the sparklers come out.
Suffering. It's the hottest time of the year and the citadel doesn't have central air conditioning. The few air conditions that were installed have given up on life after being used so much and now, we really have to make do with what we can while the Konnosuke try to fix it. There's a limited number of fans, plenty of ice cream to go around, and the citadel should be built to circulate air, right? ... Right?!
Spooks. In Japan, summer is a time for horror. Gather around the camp fire and hear some spooky ghost stories or maybe head out into the woods just outside the citadel for a good ol' fashioned test of courage. It's all good, harmless fun! Of course, with so many spirits gathered in one place, what's to say a stray or curious outsider spirit won't join the mix...
Rain. Summer is also known for sudden and torrential downpours of rain. The clouds always seem to grown and darken suddenly and the next thing you know, it's raining sheets and the ground is shaking from thunder. Once it starts, it never seems to stop. Maybe you were caught out in the rain or maybe this is day 7 stuck inside.
Other! It's summer and there are tons of things to do. Go to the general store and stock up on ice cream, wake up in the middle of the night uncomfortable with heat, or run around screaming because cicadas are dying and flying at your face.
[Although nowhere in Honmaru is particularly far, Mikazuki's room is somewhat removed from the others. Ichigo feels so relaxed now, Tonbokiri wonders if he'll fall asleep before they even get there.
Well, that's all right. He'd be pleased if Ichigo is that comfortable in his presence, even riding on his back, that he can doze off.
But as they get closer to the room, there are some small logistics to worry about. So he calls out quietly,]
Ichigo-dono...? Shall I let you down at the doorway as before? If Mikazuki-dono isn't in, I can lend you a hand inside.
After calling out as loudly as he dared and peering about from the doorway to make sure Mikazuki was not there, Tonbokiri steps foot in the room, headed towards the raised bed. It is a somewhat awkward thing, entering another's room while they are not there...
At last, Ichigo is brought safely brought to a place he can rest. Tonbokiri kneels down beside the bed to let Ichigo down onto it.]
Here you are, Ichigo-dono. You'll be all right to rest here?
[And he's mostly asleep by the time he's set down. The bed is set for two. He rolls over to cuddle Mikazuki's pillow close because it smells like him. He mumbles something unintelligible at Tonbokiri's question.]
[It feels a little lonely leaving Ichigo like this without any other words, but it is as it is. Ichigo is clearly comfortable here. It's almost too personal to witness, the way he cuddles up to Mikazuki's pillow...
Tonbokiri makes sure Ichigo's foot is in a comfortable position, pulls a light blanket over him, and quietly takes his leave.
He'll of course find Yagen-dono and tell him about the injury, but warn him that Ichigo is sleeping right now. Hopefully the fact that he can be found in Mikazuki's room won't come as a surprise? He can at least explain why if it is. And then he'll leave some sweet an-filled daifuku outside the door.
Tonbokiri knows he'll see Ichigo again soon. He'll surely return the bandage to him, after all.]

[Mikazuki doesn’t seem to be in and since he has a Heian style room, his bed In on a raised platform behind some screens.]
