3 | limited supplies… that aren’t so limited anymore
[ tsurumaru is one of the more fortunately dressed swords — wearing multiple layers and a fluffy coat means that he’s less susceptible to the chilly weather as everyone else.
still, he’s just as excited when the shipment of blankets, heaters, and winter clothes finally makes it to the citadel. while there’s certainly enough to go around for every sword, he's nabbed more than his fair share of blankets, and can currently be found in one of the open spare rooms, surrounded by a pile of at least twenty blankets. ]
Hey! Are you busy? Come help me make something.
4 | how much food do i really need?
[ there are some swords that find adapting to their human needs to be a bit easier than others. tsurumaru is really not one of those swords.
so you may be talking to him, issuing him expedition orders, or scolding him for the latest of his surprises that you fell into, when he’s just going to suddenly… fall forward. catch him, or just let him fall, it all depends on you.
but whatever you decide to do, you’ll still hear his stomach rumble. he hasn’t eaten anything proper in a while. ]
5 | another microwave bites the dust
[ all he wanted to do was reheat some food — except no one told him that microwaving plastic is not recommended at all. ...no, that’s a lie. he’s been told, he just didn’t listen.
if you’re hanging around the kitchen, getting a head start on preparing today’s dinner, or if you’re just looking for some snacks, you might find tsurumaru standing in front of the microwave — which currently has small streams of smoke coming out of it. he’s squinting, glancing at the microwave thoughtfully, before he turns towards you. ]
Is it supposed to do that?
7A | why harvest chestnuts when you can fling them
[ chestnut gathering doesn’t seem too difficult of a mission. he’s even propped up a ladder against the tree, using it to climb up onto the closest branch, and is now currently trying to chuck chestnuts into the wicker basket down below. in his defense, he’s brought the biggest basket that he could find in the citadel, but his scouting skill is notoriously terrible.
if you walk by beneath the tree, you’ll accidentally be pelted with a chestnut. ]
Whoops… [ in a louder tone this time, cupping his hands around his mouth: ] Sorry, I wasn’t trying to hit you!
7C | autumn surprises
[ autumn leaf-viewing isn't the same as moon viewing, but it's still pleasant in its own way. the citadel is lively today, with nearly all of them gathered for this occasion. the air carries the scent of roasted chestnuts and grilled fish, along with the lively laughter of the tantous as they run around, chasing one another beneath the trees. as for tsurumaru, he's been assigned leaf-raking duty — which does get boring after 0.5 seconds.
so instead, he's crouched ever so strategically behind a large pile of leaves, jumping out at the next person that passes by. ]
Wah! Were you surprised?
[ ...in hindsight, that's either one enormous heap of leaves, or his white jacket stuck out anyway. ]
