Tonbokiri hums an affirmative noise, and it occurs to him. He places so much attention on the whims of Muramasa that he sees as questionable, that perhaps he has lost sight of the whims that make him do positive things. For here he is, helping the Troops find their horses, dropping in to make sure he gets breakfast, and letting him rest when he asked for it.

Yes, he is a capricious sword, and the wind blows either way.

Tonbokiri opens his eye that is not pressed into the pillow and smiles in a way that hopefully conveys more than his words can.

"Thank you, Muramasa. I'll see you for lunch." It's a promise. (He won't even complain if he sleeps in and Muramasa has to wake him again.)
