And maybe it doesn’t show on his face, which still manages to look rather composed at first glance, but he’s definitely worried. Even if it isn’t important to to do things correctly, he still feels like he must. Failure is not acceptable and he only wants to give his best. Perhaps this is something he can relate to when it comes to the katana spirits.
With his eyes closed, he manages the best he can— hesitating a little more, moving too soon in other places, but every now and then... he gets one of the easier moves right. Of course, it isn’t satisfactory enough and he let’s go of his hand, opening his eyes and stepping away, bowing his head deeply, )
[He stops, his head tilting to the side. In that moment he looks very much the bird that he's named for. A lovely crow wondering what there is an apology for. Largely because he has a feeling that Hakusan thinks it's necessary when it really isn't.
( Which is what he's supposed to do. He follows orders and instructions. If he can't do that, then it's a failure. He doesn't really seem to react to him leaning forward, staying as stone-faced as ever but that question.... it's subtle but his brow knits closer together just slightly and he frowns.
